My new CD...
Yay! I just got the new U2 album (CD and DVD set). WOW! I love it! I am definitely in obsessive listening mode! I don't know how Bono can have so many profound things to say all the time. A gift, I guess. Any fans with favourite lines? Favourite songs? Do tell.

I think that it's funny that I chose the same line on my blog when you asked the same question as did Corena. Oh well... great minds think alike!!
I too am in obsessive listening mode... I think that I listened to the album at least three times in a row yesterday. I love the song, You Don't Have to go it Alone. I also love how Bono sings the line, "Oh you look so beautiful tonight! (etc)" I love the tone of his voice.

I LOVE You Don't Have to Go it Alone. I have listened to the album several times. I have the benefit of a 1 hr drive to work. It's just enough time to listen to the whole thing with 2 repeats of You Don't Have to Go it Alone. I love the first time he sings, "listen to me now..." - it sounds so urgent. Like he's begging this tough old guy to just let him help. Very moving song. I think it's my favourite. Funny though, my favourite lines and thoughts don't come from that song. I like the thoughts in Miracle Drug, Yahweh, and A Man and a Woman.

I was thinking the same thing... that even though that's my album favourite (for now)I didn't choose any of my favourite lines from it. It's got to be the overall feel. I love the feeling of that song... it gives me a thrill!
Another beautiful line from Miracle Drug: "The songs are in your eyes, I see them when you smile." I actually find myself starting the cd on track two (Miracle Drug)... there are so many great lines in that one song alone! "There is no failure here sweetheart, only when you quit."
One thing that I noticed when listening it yesterday all the way through cranked up: He uses the word 'kneel' in at least four differnt songs. Is he learning something right now??! I thought that was pretty interesting because I always notice if I use the same word in more than one song... and I've been hard on myself for it. Well, no more! I'm going to use the same words over and over again!!
